These events are for expectant parents where we aim to provide them with information on what products they need and more importantly, provide them with expert advice. The irish red cross have been an excellent addition to our baby & me events, discussing important topics such as cpr, choking and treatment of burns.
First aid training service is a galway based company. We provide first aid courses nationally. We specialise in training for the corporate, business, industry & the general public. All our instructors & examiners hold current certification from the national ambulance training school, and have field experience in first aid for many years. Instructors hold current certification as emergency medical first responders accredited to dubin fire brigade and national ambulance training school all our instructors have formal training and certification in training and facilatation awarded by the irish institute of training & development (iitd).
This first aid response course in athlone by the irish red cross will be held at creggan court hotel, dublin rd, kilmacuagh (castlemaine), athlone, co. Westmeath, n37 yw25. The course is recognised by the irish health and safety authority and covers participants in the event of a workplace accident. The course is a foundation level first aid course, it teaches participants to provide first aid assistance to a person who becomes suddenly unwell or injured until the arrival of the emergency medical services. It is recommended that for every 20 employees three are trained as first aid responders. It is worthwhile training a group of staff members in this area to ensure there is cover when employees are on leave.

This three-day emts far course is recognised by the health and safety authority as the standard for first aid at work and meets the requirements of the safety, health and welfare at work regulations as well as the child and family agency (tusla) as the standard for child care. It covers areas such as patient assessment, incident procedures and common medical emergencies. Our trainers are fully qualified to give this course by emts, an approved training institute of the pre-hospital emergency care council (phecc).

Who this training is for
Health and safety legislation sets out the requirements for occupational first aiders. The first aid response course covers all of the occupational first aid requirements for places of work as outlined by the health and safety authority. The number of occupational first aiders will depend on several factors including the size of the undertaking, the numbers employed, the hazards arising, access to medical services, employees working away from their employer’s premises, and workers in isolated locations.
